FAQs

What is MailerSend?

MailerSend is a transactional messaging service built for developers, teams and agencies to easily integrate email and SMS delivery into the apps, software and websites of their businesses and clients.

How does MailerSend pricing work?

MailerSend’s pricing is primarily based on email volume with different plan tiers that offer additional features and limits, as well as very high volumes of email traffic. If your plan exceeds the monthly included email quota, you can upgrade to a higher-volume for better cost per email pricing, or keep sending with a pay-as-you-go overusage fee per 1,000 emails.

How do I get my domain or IP delisted?

The delisting procedure varies by blocklist. In some cases, the blocklist requires actions to be taken and a delisting request to be submitted. In others, your blocklisted IP or domain may be delisted automatically when any issues are addressed, without needing to submit anything. MailerSend gives tips and advice, with direct links to delisting requirements and submissions for any blocklists your domain or IP appears on.

What are blocklists?

Email blocklists (sometimes known as DNS blocklists / DNSBL or Real-time blocklists / RBL) are databases of email servers, domains or IP addresses that are suspected of sending spam or malicious emails. They are used by mail servers, spam filters and internet service providers to filter out unwanted and potentially unsafe mail. While they are effective at protecting email users against abuse, it is possible for legitimate senders to be blocklisted, which impacts email deliverability and sender reputation.

Why does MailerSend monitor fewer blocklists than some competitors?

There are hundreds of email blocklists available but only a fraction of these are reputable (like Spamhaus, SpamCop or Barracuda) and have an impact on deliverability. At MailerSend, we’ve strategically curated the most significant blocklists so that any listings that have the potential to harm your email reputation and deliverability can be quickly addressed, without the distraction of less important blocklists that won’t have any effect.
