Step 1: Enable Developer mode in ChatGPT
Workspace admins must first enable developer mode. You can do this by:
1. Going to Settings > Apps > Advanced Settings.
Or:
2. By going to Workspace settings > Apps > Create and enabling Developer mode when you go to create an app.
Step 2: Configure the app
1. Go to Apps > Create.
2. Enter a name for the MCP server and add the MailerSend MCP URL: https://mcp.mailersend.com/mcp.
3. Click Scan Tools and wait for the scan to complete. Then complete the authorization prompt, and wait for the tool scan to finish.
4. Click Create.
5. After configuration, the app will appear as a draft in Workspace Settings > Apps > Drafts. Click Publish to publish the app. The app will then appear in the workspace’s approved connectors list and in users’ Apps settings.
Configuration for members of the organization
When the app has been published to the organization, users can enable it from the app directory.
1. Go to Settings > Apps.
2. Search for the app and click Connect.
3. Complete the authorization steps to connect your account.
Note:
A note on data privacy and authorization
Before you connect, it's important to understand what this means for your data.
By connecting your AI tool to the MailerSend MCP server, you are granting the AI tool permission to access and manage your MailerSend data (like email activity, API tokens, recipient data, and domain settings) on your behalf.
MailerSend does not send any of your data to an AI tool. You are in full control. This connection simply enables the AI tool you choose to communicate with your MailerSend account when you give it a command.
